Domestic Violence Typologies and Ethical Practice
When working with couples and families, domestic violence can be a life or death situation. Even the most well-intentioned therapists may do irreparable harm without a strong understanding of domestic violence typologies and the risks associated with conducting specific treatment interventions with each typology. We will discuss the characteristics of each typology and both appropriate and inappropriate interventions with each.
